Media Training Consultant

Nora Murray is Cast’s media trainer extraordinaire. She is called in for executive level media training and has an impressive resume backing up her work.

With more than 25 years of experience, Nora has trained every type of spokesperson: from top leaders at Fortune 500 companies, to brand-new startup founders, to nonprofits of all sizes. She even transformed two executives into “lifestyle experts” on NBC’s TODAY show. During many practice sessions, Nora taught them how to manage the stress of a live, national audience plus the personalities of two famous TV anchors.

Experience:

After graduating from Northwestern University, Nora began her TV news career as an investigative reporter for FOX and NBC stations. She earned a reputation for doggedly pursuing the truth, even prompting the mayor of an Ohio city to flee during a particularly tough line of questioning.

Nora continued to climb the newsroom ladder until she earned the top job: anchor of the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts. When she wasn’t sitting behind the anchor desk, she stood on stage as the emcee of events, acted as the “on-camera talent” for all sorts of videos, and gave more speeches than she cares to remember. She became a public speaking pro, and she will happily share the lessons she learned through trial and error.

Based in San Francisco, Nora has accompanied clients to interviews with The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Fast Company, Fortune, and Forbes just to name a few. She knows what questions reporters ask and which answers will keep them coming back for more.

Today, she tells executives not to run away, figuratively or otherwise. Instead, she teaches them a graceful, confident way to embrace being seen, heard, and remembered.
